The Orillia Big Band (previously named Orillia's Little Big Band as the band has outgrown it's original name) is under the music direction of Randy Hoover. The band is comprised of a balance of saxophones, trombones, trumpets and rhythm section plus a featured vocalist and instrumental soloists including a flutist. There are 21 members in the group. The Orillia Big Band performs live for ballroom dances with an extensive selection of music for foxtrot, waltz, slow style, swing, polka and tango. Some audience members even enjoy attending in vintage dress. Think of songs like String of Pearls, Georgia, Stardust, In the Mood, Days of Wine and Roses and Moonlight Serenade to put you in the dance spirit.
